Chapter History
On February 10, 1996, the Kappa Alpha Gamma Chapter was founded at SUNY New Paltz, becoming the first, and thus far only chapter of Kappa Delta Phi N.A.S. in the state of New York. The Sorority is known for having one of the highest cumulative GPA's on campus and has won the award for it several years in a row.
Accolades for Kappa Alpha Gamma chapter include the Jeanette Colette Award an honorable acknowledgement for the sisters' hard work in their philanthropic endeavors, the Susan M. Dyer Golden Scholastic Award presented to the chapter with the highest GPA, and a four star accreditation rating for the 2012-2013 academic year.

National History
Incorporated in 1977, Kappa Delta Phi National Affiliated Sorority's roots go back to 1971 when the first chapter was chartered at Husson College in Bangor, Maine.
The founding principles of this National Sorority are to develop the highest philanthropic ideals possible within each chapter and individual sister. Providing service to others is the cornerstone on which this Sorority was built. We continue to build on that through various service projects and activities for both the campus and surrounding communities.
